What is Escape the City?
Escape the City is a mobile outdoor escape game. Many know the principle from the escape room: solve puzzles as a team, combine clues, crack codes and work together against the clock. Only here it does not happen in a closed room, but outdoors – the entire city centre becomes the playing field.
Teams are guided by a game app on a tablet that leads them step by step through the mission. There is no fixed room, no setup and no prior knowledge needed: each team gets its tablet, and off you go. Fresh-air movement meets brainwork – exactly the mix that bonds a team.

Goslar: the backdrop that makes your game special
Goslar has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992 – together with the neighbouring Rammelsberg mine, which operated continuously for over 1,000 years. The old town on the northern edge of the Harz has grown over centuries and survived the war almost unscathed: narrow half-timbered lanes, quiet courtyards and wide squares on short routes – an ideal playing field.
The landmark is the Imperial Palace (Kaiserpfalz), for centuries the largest and most secure palace of the Saxon and Salian emperors – the first imperial assembly met here as early as 1009. Add the market square with the Market Church of St Cosmas and Damian and its carillon, plus countless half-timbered houses. Each of these places can become a puzzle station – teams cross paths along the way and meet up again at the end.
And Goslar has a trump card: just outside the gates lies the Rammelsberg mine, the only mine in the world to extract ore continuously for over 1,000 years – today a museum and part of the World Heritage Site. A detail that can even be woven into the story on request.

From May to September the old town in the Harz shows its finest side – ideal for the outdoor game. But it runs all year and in any weather; in Advent the Goslar Christmas market and the "Christmas forest" on the market square give the mission a special mood.
Cobblestones, lanes and the odd stairway are part of the Goslar charm. With flat, comfortable footwear your team has more headspace for puzzles and less for sore feet.
To finish, a detour to the Imperial Palace or the Rammelsberg mine is worth it – a thousand years of history right on the doorstep. A lovely add-on right after the game.

Up to seven days before the event you can cancel at no cost. From seven days onwards the full price applies.
Tell us the final number up to seven days before. Adding people later is always possible at the same price per person.
Up to 5,000 € net you pay in one go after the event. Above that, 50 % on signing and the rest afterwards.
